We teach grammar alongside our English lessons, so that words and sentences link to whichever text we are working on. In Autumn 1 we focus on the children being able to write a good sentence using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. We then look at ways to make our writing more interesting with the word 'and,' using adjectives and a range of punctuation.
