Our School Council is made up of children from Y1-Y6, who have been elected by their peers to represent their classes. School Council meet approximately twice per half term with Mrs Griffiths and feedback to their classes between meetings.

In recent years, School Council have successfully organised fundraising to enable a defibrillator to be purchased for the school community, contributed to our curriculum review work, helped to plan the development of a proposed new sensory garden in the school grounds. They also carried out an extensive review of travel and transport arrangements in school, contributing to the School Travel Plan.

During 2024-25 School Council planned and organised an amazing whole school 'Elf Day' for the Derby Hospitals Charity, played a key role in the implementation of OPAL play at lunchtimes and continued to contribute to pupil voice in school.

Our plans for 2025-26 so far include organising a 'Reindeer Dash' charity event in aid of Treetops Hospice.
