For our Maths we use 'Mastering Number' from NCETM. This national programme aims to secure firm foundations in the development of good number sense for all children from Reception through to Year 1 and Year 2. The aim over time is that children will leave KS1 with fluency in calculation and a confidence and flexibility with number. Attention will be given to key knowledge and understanding needed in Reception classes, and progression through KS1 to support success in the future. Mastering Number makes links to the NUMBERBLOCKS programme on Ceebeebies - this is a good show for children to be watching at home. We also use some units from White Rose to support the areas of Shape, space and measure.

These are some fun games you could play at home at home to support your child's learning!

• Three different counting, matching and ordering maths games based on the numbers 1 to 10 for early years children.

• Counting and sequencing games where you can learn your numbers to 10.

• The Teddy Numbers game can help you to learn numbers to 15. Learn the digits and words for the numbers and it game can help you learn to count too.

• Can you find the treasure? You need to count the underwater creatures. This game has two levels: Count to 5 and Count to 10.

• How good are you at ordering numbers? Lots of examples to try ordering numbers and groups of objects,

• An illustrated animated site which can help children learn subtraction within 5 or 10.

• Toy Shop Money is a game for helping children understand UK money. Start by counting out in 1p coins.
