Phase 4 laugh sound of the week 'st'

First, revise all your sounds so far using this PowerPoint document

CHALLENGE - Can you find the tricky word 'said' in your books at home? Can you write it? Can you put it in a sentence? 

Next, learn the new sound 'st'. It is called a consonant cluster, because both letters are consonants (not vowels like a, e, i, o, u)and they are 'clustered' together. It can be at the beginning of a word, or at the end of a word. Can you read these words?

Play the roll and read game to practise reading words with the 'st' sound.

CHALLENGE - if you don't know what any of these words mean, can you find out? You could use a dictionary, a book, the internet, google, or ask your grown ups. Can you put them in a sentence a write it?
